The Web Accessibility Analyst is responsible for monitoring, remediating and/or facilitating remediation of University websites in compliance with Boise State University IT Accessibility policies, Web Accessibility policies, other web accessibility standards and guidelines, and web accessibility mandates from the Offices of Internal Compliance and General Counsel. The position is also responsible for training and supporting University website administrators and content authors to utilize software tools, follow established standards, and provide recommendations and solutions to create and maintain accessible web content.
The Web Accessibility Analyst will be highly analytical and consultative in nature, with the ability to consolidate website accessibility data into digestible and presentable highlights. The position will act as an expert in web accessibility standards, and on how to apply these standards in the context of Boise State’s WordPress web environment. This position will operate as a customer advocate in providing feedback and guidance to the Office of Information Technology and the Director of Web Strategy within the Office of Communications and Marketing to further improve and enhance web accessibility practices, tools and features.
