Job Title: Learning Design Consultant
UMUC’s Learning Design & Technology program is seeking a part-time, instructional designer to work as both subject matter expert and curriculum developer for four online courses about instructional design. The qualified instructional designer can work remotely for the duration of the contract(s). Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
- • Collaborating with the design team to identify course objectives.
- • Designing and developing online course content and learning objects.
- • Creation of online courses using the edX platform.
A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in instructional design, learning design, instructional systems development or a related field is required; a Master's degree and experience working with edX MOOC design is preferred. A minimum of three years of demonstrated instructional design experience is required.
