We are offering a new three-credit graduate course this coming spring to help educators create competitive eSports programs at their schools, at either club or varsity levels.
Participants who already have eSports programs will focus on improving recruitment, messaging, organization, and competitive structure. Coursework will culminate in a fully developed plan for each participant’s school.
The instructors, Dr. Chris Haskell and Dr. Brett Shelton, are co-directors of Boise State University’s Varsity eSports program and gained their expertise through study, experience, cooperative and competitive video game play, and interaction with industry leaders.
Registration for spring semester opens on Monday, Oct. 29. Classes begin on Jan. 10, 2019, and conclude on May 10. Students may register for EDTECH 560 Varsity eSports as a degree-seeking or non-degree-seeking student. Current students can use this course as an elective. If you want to take this course rather than a pre-planned elective, please revise your ePDF and send to Dixie for a quick review. Questions? firstname.lastname@example.org.
