Welcome to all new and returning students. We are looking forward to beginning a new fall semester on Monday, August 27. The information in this message should help to answer some of the most common questions we see in the week prior to a new semester.
When will I hear from my instructor?
You should get an email from your instructor some time during the week prior to the beginning of the semester, but no later than Friday, August 24. Please check BroncoMail for this message. Browse to BroncoWeb (http://broncoweb.boisestate.edu/) and then click the link to BroncoMail in the left-hand navigation bar.
How do I contact my instructor?
Contact information for EDTECH instructors can be found on the Faculty & Staff page of the EDTECH website at http://edtech.boisestate.edu/about/faculty-staff/ Click your instructor’s name to expand the contact information window.
When will I get my syllabus?
We are in the process of updating our course information page to link to the latest syllabi at http://edtech.boisestate.edu/current-students/course-information/ If you don’t see a fall 2012 syllabus for your class, then use the syllabus available as a general guide. You will have a syllabus when the semester begins. If you have specific questions, please email your instructor.
Do I really need to buy the software/textbooks or is there a way to use something less expensive? Who has the best prices?
Generally speaking, if textbooks or software are required then they are truly needed to complete the assignments for the course. If necessary, you can contact your instructor for additional details or to discuss your particular situation.

What if I have technical problems?
Technical issues with Moodle or the EDTECH2 server should be directed to Moodle Support at email@example.com.

What if I have problems registering for classes in BroncoWeb?
BroncoWeb problems should be directed to the BroncoWeb Help Center at email@example.com.
I am still on the waitlist. Will I automatically be enrolled when a space opens up?

My name is Lindsey Dix and I am currently enrolled in EDTECH 501 and 502 for Fall Semester. I am new to Moodle and noticed that when I was trying to add my courses I have to enter an "enrollment key". I was simply wondering where I could find this enrollment key that way I can add my courses to my Moodle account. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to contact/email your professor for the enrollment key. See the above section on how to contact your professor. (You will be hearing from your professor some time this week, if you have not heard anything already.) Hope this helps!
Thanks for the question Lindsey. I am sure that others are also wondering. Typically, the enrollment key will be sent to you by your instructor. Most likely this will arrive in an email that you should get this week. You can always contact your instructor if needed.
I'm enrolled in EdTech 561 for Fall, but I do not see it listed in Moodle. Will it be a late addition?

I am enrolled in EDTECH 512-4173 Online Course Design for this semester that will start on Monday, 27th of August. I hav'nt heared yet from my instructor. What should I do? Thanks
I am also in the same class and haven't received an email from the instructor. This is my last semester in the program. I recall not getting a course key until the first day of class once... I have also gotten course keys a month in advance before. Don't worry. It will happy. A class without students is not a class until it has students.
You do not need the key. I already added everyone manually.
The course is already open two days ago and you should have got email from me. If not, contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org). I added all the participants manually already. So just visit EDTECH 512-4173 in the Moodle.
