A number of students have contacted me about not being able to connect to the edtech2 server all of a sudden. We are investigating the problem and will let you know when everything is back to normal.
If it helps, the message I get says an FTP error has occurred.
Thanks for looking into it.
I have the same issue as others. Not sure if this helps, but I am getting Response: 530 User cannot log in. Error: Critical error Error: Could not connect to server.I am using an FTP program to login and I was able to connect a couple of days ago.
It looks like it's a server side issue and they are still working on the problem the last I checked.
Is this why I cannot watch the videos for 502 or why I cannot see my banner?
I'm working again, thank you!
I am still unable to FTP in Dreamweaver. I just wanted to know if the server was up and I need to look into other reasons for the failure to connect to the server error. Thank you,
Yes the server is back up and should be working fine now. Email me if you are still having problems. As always, if you haven't changed your password lately, try that first (and keep it to 8 characters long). Password have to be updated every 90 days.
My FTP in Dreamweaver just worked. It was not working at all yesterday, even when I tried the "test" button with manage sites. You may want to see if testing the server where you manage sites works. If you get the same FTP error statements you were getting yesterday, then I have no clue. If the test fails, double check that you updated your password in Dreamweaver. That is often the last place I remember to update the password when I change it at Broncoweb.
I'm still getting a message that says the server is down or not accepting connections.
I was able to connect to the server about 3 hours ago, but now it says that it cannot connect.
It it not working for me yet either.
It was working for me earlier, now not working again.
Thanks for keeping us posted on your progress but I am still having problems connecting to the EDTECH server in Dreamweaver. I keep getting the following message:
An FTP error occurred- cannont make connection to host.
Ok, I am not crazy. I have had more problems the last couple of days! I thought I had messed everything up. Glad to know it's not me!!!!! Thanks for working on the problem!
The problems came back this evening. We are investigating what is causing this. It worked all day long. Not sure why it isn't working now but I'll let you know when I know.
