I came across an exceptional online tool recently and want to share it with you. Evernote is an amazing program to use with middle and high school students. This app allows one to write notes on research articles or pictures, and add vocal notes. The student can upload this easily to a YouTube movie if you wish them to organize their work in a culminating project.
One can work across devices, so for those using a laptop at home, and an iPad or iPhone at school, it might help keep them organized. I really like how it works on an iPad as there is even a laser pointer feature. This allows the student to point out things to his/her peers or to me. The educator in me loves the fact that now the blackboard will be at all the desks instead of being only at the front of the room. The projects one could use with this app seem endless.
Feedback on the app seems to support my enthusiasm overall. The app is rated at 4.5 out of 5 stars and is based on 4,435 reviews.
