I was just hired to assist on preparing a substantial grant proposal that involves collaboration between four local school districts and our local university. One of the first big hurdles is coming up with an effective project management collaboration tool. They have been using Google sites and Google docs, but have experienced a ton of access issues.
I am also wondering if anyone has suggestions for resources to help with designing a professional grant proposal layout. This is my first experience with grant writing.
Thank you for your help!
Hi Tara! I teach project management and ahappily to chat. One quick answer is to use trello Http://www.trello.com. It is free, easy to use, and leads you do Kanban, which I like. But there are many others depending on your needs. Ping any time! A regards....AgileBill.
Thank you for this great resource! I am administering a survey today to help assess what the needs of the collaborators are. Trello seems to have the flexability we may need. I'm just getting on board this week, so I may be in contact again soon.
This grant is focused on innovations in teacher training programs, promoting diversity in new candidates and improved mentoring programs. It is unique because it is a collaboration between our local university and four school districts in the area.
The grant is due June 1st. They are bringing me on board to help pull together all of the elements that have been developed, and to organize and put the information into a final document. I also will be designing and adding in the graphic elements to the document and creating some supplementary material for the sponsors, such as a brochure/flyer and possibly an informational video. The video and design work is where my skills are strongest, the grant proposal document is the element that is somewhat new to me.
Any advice on quality resources and/or examples would be happily appreciated!
