Access to online learning is essential for many non-traditional students. Providing meaningful learning experiences in this environment is still a struggle for many institutions.
I am PhD candidate in Engineering Education, and my dissertation will examine how student learning is cultivated in the online environment based on the Community of Inquiry framework. In this study, I will be piloting a revision of the Community of Inquiry survey that includes indicators for Learning Presence.
The questionnaire includes a total of 47 items that have been split into 4 sections. On average, it should take 15 minutes or less to complete. Your participation in this project is voluntary and very much appreciated. Please feel free to contact Ruth E. H. Wertz regarding this project at rwertz@purdue.edu.
