Google was going to discontinue Appointment Slots (a feature in Google Calendar), but decided to keep it in Google Apps for Education and Business. This is a very handy feature and something that could be used for so many purposes. In the following tutorial, I come up with a way for teachers to use Appointment slots as a way to book appointments with parents to host a virtual parent/teacher conference. What are your ideas?
First, thank you for the example of clarify. With all the wonderful tools that have been provided, it has not been possible to test all of them. I see Clarify as a useful tool in math Instruction.
Second, I have not used this feature in Google, but I can see the possibilities as a virtual teacher. We do not have a week of parent teacher conferences, like in a typical K-8 school.
Handy tutorial and very good to know about this tool. I schedule individual appts with my students a few times each semester and usually have them sign up on a Google doc, which I then transfer to my calendar. This will eliminate that step altogether! I'm also sharing it with teachers I know. Thanks, Barbara!
