Hello Ed Tech Community,
I'm re-posting this message for a doctoral student who is conducting this study at Purdue University. Please consider participating in this study if you haven't done so. Please forward this message to any potential participants who may be interested.
Dr. Dazhi Yang
Access to online learning is essential for many non-traditional students. Providing meaningful learning experiences in this environment is still a struggle for many institutions.
I am PhD candidate in Engineering Education, and my dissertation will examine how student learning is cultivated in the online environment based on the Community of Inquiry framework. In this study, I will be piloting a revision of the Community of Inquiry survey that includes indicators for Learning Presence.
The questionnaire includes a total of 47 items that have been split into 4 sections. On average, it should take 15 minutes or less to complete. Your participation in this project is voluntary and very much appreciated. Please feel free to contact Ruth E. H. Wertz regarding this project at email@example.com.

Done! It's always a pleasure to help other students with their surveys. I've certainly appreciated it when others have helped me with mine.
Thanks Jim! I'm sure the researcher appreciated your participation.
Taking it right now. Would love to see the results.
Just finished. It says that it takes about 15 minutes, but I found that it doesn't take nearly that long. Maybe this bit of information will entice others to complete it.
Hi - This study took much less than 15 minutes. It was straighfoward. For anyone who is thinking of participating, it's pretty quick.
Thanks everyone very much! I'll encourage the researcher to share the results.
Done. Pretty thorough survey, but quick enough to complete. Found some questions hard to decide on which of two choices, so made a best judgement "guess".
