Patrick Lowenthal, assistant professor in the Department of Educational Technology (EdTech), presented three times at the annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association April 3-7 in Philadelphia, Penn.
The first presentation was titled “Social Presence: What is It? How Do We Measure It?”
The second presentation was co-authored with Ross Perkins, EdTech associate professor, and titled “Prevalence of Convenient Sampling An investigation into sampling trends in online learning research.”
I'm curious what the 3rd presentation was! Congrats Drs. Lowenthal & Perkins! That's a nice clean Slideshare deck you used Dr. Lowenthal; I'm really looking forward to your "The Internet for Educators" course this fall
Thanks for asking! <smile>
And thanks for the comment on the slides. I take those seriously... well most of the time!
The third one was a poster presentation I did with Joni Dunlap (University of Colorado Denver) of a study we are doing on design titled:
Design is Design is Design: What we’ve learned from designers about preparing instructional designers
