EDTECH 592-Portfolio, taken during your last semester, is not like your other courses; for Portfolio, you need to be sure that you have completed the necessary prerequisite administrative actions before a required permission number can be provided to you. The basic prerequisite steps are outlined on the EDTECH website at: Steps to Graduation. Please review these steps and complete any actions that are needed, preferably during the semester before your last semester! You'll be glad that you have all this stuff done early on!
If you are expecting to take Portfolio in Spring term, 2015, these items should be completed no later than the first week in January 2015. However, once you have at least submitted your AAC and Portfolio application, I'll put you on the list to receive a permission number, which you will receive once you are able to complete the needed action(s). If you have any questions, please contact me at (208) 426-1962 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
As is often the case, questions come up as a result of announcements and this one is no exception.
What do you do if you have reviewed your records, followed and completed the Steps to Graduation, checked your Academic Advisement Report in your Student Center, have applied for graduation for your degree (and a certificate, if applicable) and think that you have done everything necessary? All it means is that if everything seems to be completed and you’re interested in applying for portfolio for Spring 2015, you need to complete the online application at this link soon: Applying for Portfolio. When you apply, I will check to see what might have been missed, we can get it resolved, and I will work toward getting you a permission number to register for Portfolio for Spring 2015.
If you are not taking EDTECH 592-Portfolio until Summer or Fall terms in 2015, then you are assured by this review that everything is in place when it does become time for you to apply later, beginning April 1, 2015, for summer term.
If this doesn’t clarify things AFTER you have gone through the process above, please let me know. It’s never too early to find and resolve any issues that turn up!
