I was wondering how to gain much needed job experience; I am not a certified teacher and I haven't managed anything. How will I compete in the job market? Is there internships out there that I can apply for? I would love to apply to the BSU position, but I am not finished with my degree yet.
My suggestion would be to try to get an internship. Ideally it would be a paid internship but it might simply be an unpaid one where you volunteer to help faculty or clients (whether in industry OR K-12) with instructional design, instructional development, and/or teaching problems/projects. Another option might be to setup an account on something like Fiverr.com where you try to do some contract work to get some experience.
