I'm putting together an after school club, one hour a week, around creative computing ideas. I am targeting it for 3rd & 4th graders, and I'd like to do things like basic photo editing, making movies, and Gamestar Mechanic. Do you have any resources to recommend? Are there any specific tools you have used? TIA!
Have you looked at Pivot Stickfigure Animator? I used it in a media class a while back and the students really liked it. It's basically like making a post-it note flip book but on the computer.
Thanks, great ideas so far! Any more software based ideas? There is no budget to purchase hardware plus no practical storage options.
Google CS first is perfect for 3rd-4th graders. It is easy to manage and for students to work through at their own pace. There is digital animation, video game design, music themes....It's worth a try.
Google CS First was my suggestion as well. My students love it!
